Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Guoguo processes, how that information is used, what is stored locally on your device, and what choices you have.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Guoguo mobile app. It covers the information processed when you import media, generate poster outputs, save projects, make in-app purchases, and use related app features.
2. Information Guoguo Processes
The current version of Guoguo processes the following categories of information:
- Media you choose: videos and Live Photos that you select from the iOS photo picker for poster generation.
- Generated content: poster exports, preview images, project titles, render timestamps, and generation metrics created inside the app.
- Wallet state: your local virtual coin balance and related local wallet state used to unlock paid actions inside the app.
- Purchase state from Apple: product, price, and transaction status information necessary for in-app purchases handled through Apple's StoreKit framework.
- Launch and preference state: lightweight device-side flags stored with iOS preferences to remember whether certain launch prompts or steps were already handled.
- Permission state: whether you have granted or denied photo-library access and, where applicable, App Tracking Transparency permission status.
3. How Information Is Collected
Guoguo collects information directly from your actions inside the app and from Apple-provided frameworks. For example:
- You choose media through the iOS photo picker.
- The app generates posters and previews on your device from the media you selected.
- Project records and wallet state are written to your app sandbox on the device.
- In-app purchase data is supplied by Apple when you browse or complete StoreKit purchases.
- The launch flow currently performs a lightweight request to
https://www.apple.comas part of a connectivity gate before entering the main app experience.
4. How Guoguo Uses Information
Guoguo uses processed information to:
- import and transform your selected media into poster outputs;
- display, save, rename, or delete your local projects;
- calculate poster metrics and show project summaries inside the app;
- manage virtual coin balance and confirm paid actions;
- request, display, and complete in-app purchases through Apple;
- show system permission prompts and remember launch-gate completion state; and
- allow you to export or share a generated poster using iOS sharing features.
5. What Guoguo Does Not Currently Do
Based on the current app build, Guoguo does not provide user account creation, a custom cloud sync system, or a dedicated developer-operated backend for storing your projects. It also does not appear to include a custom third-party analytics SDK or a developer-run advertising SDK in the current app code.
If those practices change in a future release, this Privacy Policy should be updated before the release goes live.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
Guoguo does not currently operate a developer-managed service for sharing your projects to other users. Information may still be disclosed in the following limited ways:
- Apple services: when you use photo-library access, App Store purchasing, or other Apple frameworks, Apple processes data under its own terms and privacy rules.
- User-directed sharing: if you choose to share a poster through the iOS share sheet, the selected destination receives the content you choose to send.
- Legal or security reasons: information may be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the app.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Guoguo stores project records, exports, previews, and wallet state locally on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or clear data through device-level actions.
- You can delete a project from within the app, which removes the associated local export and preview files handled by the app.
- You can revoke photo-library permission at any time in iOS Settings.
- You can remove app data from the device by uninstalling the app, subject to iOS behavior and any backups you control.
- Purchase transaction records maintained by Apple are governed by Apple, not by Guoguo Studio.
8. Your Choices
You can control many privacy-related choices directly:
- Do not import media you do not want the app to process.
- Delete local projects you no longer want stored on the device.
- Revoke device permissions in iOS Settings.
- Decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt where shown. The app's current code checks that permission state during launch.
- Choose whether and where to share poster exports.
9. Children's Privacy
Guoguo is not intended for children who are below the minimum digital consent age in their jurisdiction without parent or guardian involvement. If you believe a child provided information inappropriately through the app, contact us at legal@guoguoposter.app.
10. International Processing
Guoguo is designed to process most project data locally on the device. However, Apple and any third-party destination you choose when sharing may process information in other countries under their own systems and policies.
11. Security
We aim to minimize handled data by keeping the current Guoguo workflow local-first. That said, no app, device, network path, or storage environment can be guaranteed perfectly secure. You should use normal device security practices, including passcodes, backups, and updated operating system software.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational needs. The updated version becomes effective when it is posted inside the app or otherwise made available to you.
13. Contact
Questions, privacy requests, or data-related concerns can be sent to legal@guoguoposter.app.
