User Agreement
This User Agreement governs your use of the Guoguo app, a local-first creative tool for turning videos and Live Photos into designed poster-style stills.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Guoguo, you agree to this User Agreement and the Guoguo Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app is lawful in your jurisdiction and consistent with any rules that apply to your device, platform account, or payment method.
2. What Guoguo Does
Guoguo allows you to select a video or Live Photo from your photo library, process frames into a stylized poster composition, store generated projects on your device, and export or share finished images.
The app may change over time. Features, styles, and pricing mechanics may be added, removed, refined, or discontinued without guaranteeing permanent availability of any specific workflow.
3. Eligibility and Device Permissions
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement to use the app. If you are using Guoguo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Certain features depend on permissions you control at the device level, such as access to your photo library. If you deny or revoke a permission, some features may not work as intended.
4. Your Media and Generated Projects
You retain ownership of the videos, Live Photos, and other material you choose to process with Guoguo. You also retain ownership of the poster exports you create, subject to any rights belonging to third parties whose content appears in your media.
You are solely responsible for the media you import, the outputs you generate, and the way you share or publish them. Do not use content unless you have the right to use, transform, and distribute it.
- Do not process or share content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Do not use the app to create unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or privacy-invasive material.
- Do not upload or distribute content in violation of platform rules or applicable law.
5. Local Storage and Backups
The current version of Guoguo stores project records, poster exports, previews, and wallet state locally on your device. You are responsible for your own backup practices and for any device-level storage management.
If you delete a project in the app or remove the app from your device, associated locally stored data may be deleted and may not be recoverable.
6. Coins, In-App Purchases, and Billing
Guoguo currently uses a virtual coin system for selected actions, including poster creation and export. Coins are a limited license to use specific in-app functionality. Coins are not bank accounts, stored value, or property, and they have no cash value outside the app unless required by law.
If you buy coins through in-app purchases, billing, refunds, taxes, and transaction handling are generally managed by Apple under the terms of the App Store and your Apple account.
- Prices and coin bundles may change at any time.
- Except where required by applicable law or Apple policy, purchases are final.
- Coins may be consumed immediately when you confirm a paid action inside the app.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Guoguo, interfere with its operation, attempt to reverse engineer non-permitted parts of the app, bypass coin mechanics, exploit bugs, or use automation or scripts in a way that harms the service or other users.
You also agree not to use the app to violate another person's publicity, privacy, or image rights.
8. Third-Party Services
Guoguo relies on certain Apple platform services, including the photo library picker, the App Store purchase system, and iOS sharing tools. When you interact with those services or send content to a third-party destination, that provider's terms and privacy practices apply to the extent relevant to that interaction.
9. Intellectual Property in the App
Guoguo, including its software, interface design, templates, branding, and original app content, is owned by Guoguo Studio or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. This agreement gives you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose.
This agreement does not transfer ownership of the app or any underlying technology to you.
10. Availability, Changes, and Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Guoguo at any time. We may also update this agreement to reflect changes in the app, law, or operational needs.
We may limit or terminate access to the app if your use creates legal risk, security risk, or a material violation of this agreement. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
11. Disclaimers
Guoguo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every creative or commercial purpose.
Poster outputs depend on your source media, device performance, permissions, and platform behavior. Visual results may vary.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guoguo Studio and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of Guoguo.
If the law does not allow all of the exclusions above, liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted and, where applicable, no more than the amount you paid for the app or related in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim arose.
13. Governing Principles and Consumer Rights
Nothing in this agreement is intended to limit non-waivable consumer rights that apply in your place of residence. If any part of this agreement is unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect.
